〰 Trilogy Very Gentle Calming Serum | 30ml | £29.50 〰
Serums are a skincare product I’ve only recently got into using. As they’ve grown evermore popular over the past few years I decided to finally try one out and implement it into my skincare routine. Serums have active ingredients in, meaning they are perfect for targeting certain skincare concerns. I was on the lookout for one specifically for sensitive skin that was also full of helpful natural ingredients. I then came across Trilogy’s Very Gentle Calming Serum, which sounded ideal.
Aqua (Water), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Cetearyl Olivate (and) Sorbitan Olivate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Seed Oil, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Xanthan Gum, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Citric Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid (and) Benzyl Alcohol
The serum contains green tea leaf extract, a powerful antioxidant that helps protect skin and is great as an anti-ageing treatment. Other ingredients include natural spring water, Chamomile, and Calendula extracts, which all help in calming the skin and reducing any redness (much needed at this time of the year!). One ingredient I wondered about was SyriCalm, which is a botanical complex that helps improve the quality of the skin’s barrier function, improving cellular repair and healing.
Packaged in a little 30ml bottle with a plastic pump and lid, you can easily control how much product to dispense. The formula is ultra lightweight and sinks into the skin quickly. I’ve been applying this after cleansing in the morning and applying a hydrating moisturiser afterwards; I’ve also found that it helps create a smooth base for makeup! After a few weeks of application, I've noticed my skin has become less red and I haven’t experienced any irritation at all. So if you are in need of a serum specifically for sensitive skin Trilogy’s Calming Serum is certainly worth a try!
Apply serums onto freshly cleansed skin that is still slightly damp, so the active ingredients can fully penetrate. Wait a few minutes until your skin is dry before applying moisturiser.
